Attention: All Kingsport Estates West Condominium Association Homeowners
Upcoming Election and Meeting
Our upcoming Fall homeowner’s meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Hanover Park Library. This meeting is extra important because we have an election for our HOA board. This year we have four openings and need new people to step up to keep our association running. What does being a HOA board member mean?
“Board members must respond timely and thoughtfully to changes in the economic environment, the unit owner population, and the physical and financial status of the property.”
In the case of KEWCA, we have a few things coming up in the next year’s agenda:
- Reworking our Rules and Regulations, aligning our policies with current homeowner expectations.
- Projects include the final building siding, driveway drainage repair, and landscaping work.
- Keeping our budget balanced to avoid special assessments.
As a board member, you’ll be volunteering a few hours across the year for meetings and decision-making communication. We’ve included the form any homeowner interested in running for the board needs to complete. These must be completed and turned into the association box at 1505 Harbour by October 25.
Winter Update
Please note we’ll be turning off the outside water spigots soon. All hoses should be returned indoors. Additionally, we are no longer requiring homeowners to clear their balcony/patio in the winter.
New Communication Policy
KEWCA is changing its official communication policy. Homeowners are no longer permitted to contact board members directly over HOA business. Instead, all HOA-related communication must go through our property management.

We have updated our association website at https://kingsportestateswest.com. All notices will be posted to the site in addition to the boards in every building. We’ve posted the Rules and regulations as well as links to resources that should make it easier to answer questions without needing to wait for a reply.
Garbage
We’ve had issues over the past few months with homeowners leaving their trash and recycling bins out indefinitely. This is against the municipal code (96.06) and the KEWCA Rules and Regulations. To be fair to all of our homeowners, we can no longer be lax in our enforcement of this rule. We will be citing and fining homeowners who do not return their trash and recycling bins to their garages $100 if the bins are still outdoors the morning after trash pickup. These fines are cumulative.
